The rapidly growing online delivery service SuperBuddy has closed a €1M funding round. The startup from Zwolle has been active for quite some time now, delivering groceries in Zwolle, Utrecht and – in cooperation with Albert Heijn – in Rotterdam. The deliverers are part-time employees who receive their assignments through an app. Subsequently, they do the shopping in supermarkets just around the corner. This makes SuperBuddy’s supply more local and diverse with traditional delivery services.
On November 14th, 2017, soft robotics startup Somnox launched its Kickstarter campaign to launch the world’s first sleep robot. And now, one month later, Somnox has raised a total amount of €200.274 from 509 backers, doubling its initial goal. Due to this success, Somnox will start production, aiming to help 100.000 people achieve a good night’s rest in 2025. Scisports is stepping into a league of its own, as the provider of real-time data on football players has been named Sprout Challenger of 2017. The company participated in this year’s edition of the Challenger50 and ended up on top last Thursday. Three finalists got the chance to pitch their ideas during Challengernight at Pakhuis West in Amsterdam. And as a result, Giels Brouwer, founder of Scisports, took over the prestigious award from last year’s winner Hotelchamp.
