Startup Launch Class rounded off its second edition with a pitching event at the ING offices in Amsterdam on December 20th. A collaboration by Strategiemakers, ACE Venture Lab and ING, Startup Launch Class offers students the opportunity to develop their B2C business in ten weeks with the help of professional ING coaches and mentors. The pitching event resulted in a tie between two teams: Sponsormeter.com and Pasteis both received the exact same number of votes and therefore shared the winners title.
A big shake-up is taking place at the top management level of one of the most successful Dutch startups. WeTransfer-Founder and CEO Bas Beerens will step back from day-to-day operations as Gordon Willoughby will take the Dutchman’s place in January. Beerens will remain active as Executive Chairman.
On Wednesday the 14th of December the so-called Coalition of the Third Golden Century gathered in Randstad’s main building in Diemen. Aim of the event was to exchange ideas about the role of talent in turning Amsterdam into a vibrant metropolis. The meeting was organized by ORAM, Randstad, and the Amsterdam Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE). The programme started with a presentation by Alje Kuiper, director of Innovation at Randstad. His talk about the future of the labor market was followed by an interactive session led by Jort Kelder.
StartupDelta’s Special Envoy Prince Constantijn will launch online TV-Channel Startup Holland TV during next month’s CES fair in Las Vegas. The Prince of Startups will be accompanied by TradeCast founder Yillmaz Schoen and Henk Kamp, the Dutch Minister for Economic Affairs. The launch will take place during an event night on January 5th.
